Catherine Lash, the founder of the Wedding Co., has created a wonderful resource not only for brides, but for all of us that are involved in the wedding industry as well.
Catherine & her incredible team at The Wedding Co. are devoted to showcasing some of the most unique & inspiring wedding industry talent. I was thrilled to have Derick & Jasmine’s wedding featured last fall on the Wedding Co. blog!
Derick & Jasmine both got ready at their home on separate floors, so that they wouldn’t see each other before the reveal. Jasmine’s sister Allyson did some baking & they had a lovely spread of food to share with everyone. Everyone was quite relaxed and were truly just enjoying each other’s company. After the getting ready, we were able to orchestrate a first look at David’s Tea in Bloor West Village on the back patio. We photographed the bridal party there and also up at Markland Wood Golf Course where they had their ceremony and reception. It was one of the hottest days of the summer, so everyone was very happy that they had a chance to enjoy a chilled iced tea during the bridal party portrait session at David’s Tea. It was such a pleasure photographing their wedding! I have known Jasmine for many years and I also know her family. She was one of my French students when I taught at a secondary school here in Barrie. I only taught for three years and then decided that teaching was not for me & followed my passion and went back to school for photography. I am coming up to my tenth anniversary this summer as a professional photographer. My how the time has flown! It was really neat to be part of Derick & Jasmine’s day & I am so excited for them!
Congratulations Derick & Jasmine!!
