I am thrilled to be featured in the latest issue of Wedluxe Magazine! Wedluxe is one of Canada’s most prestigious wedding magazines. It is a beautiful wedding magazine filled with stunning real weddings as well as gorgeous & inspirational editorials. I am so honoured to be featured in Wedluxe amongst Canada’s most talented wedding professionals. I worked with an incredible creative team to produce this feature editorial which was designed by my good friend Elizabeth Johnston of EventDecorator.com.
Here is a note from Angela Desveaux, the editor-in-chief of Wedluxe magazine from the editor’s blog about our feature “Little Guests”.
“Have you picked up a copy of our new issue yet? They hit newsstands last week… I am so excited about them both (East and West editions which are totally different!) In both issues, we have an incredible collection of Glitterati Style Files that were styled and produced by groups of event professionals across the country, without any assistance from us here at the mag! This was a first for us – I put out the call for submissions shortly after I found out I was pregnant and OHHHH I’m so happy I did! I loved them all – but we could only choose 15 to include in the mags. Over the next few weeks I am going to roll out the additional photos and features that we couldn’t fit in the mag. I hope you enjoy all of these as much as I do!
The first one I want to share with you (below) focuses on the wee ones at your event! Yes, those adorable yet busy little people who you love. Though they tend to get the most attention at a wedding (other than YOU of course) they are often the ones that are overlooked when planning out the details of the party. That’s why I was so happy when I saw a whole submission produced just to pay homage to tiny guests!
It was produced by Elizabeth Johnston of EventDecorator.com and photographed by Jennifer Klementti.” – Angela Deveaux
This feature was especially fun for me, because I also LOVE photographing kids & babies…the littlest one in this feature is actually my 2 year old daughter. 🙂 I photograph kids & babies all the time in the studio & on location. I know the amount of work that goes into a commissioned portrait session to be able to capture the kids as they are naturally, so I knew what to expect when bringing kids into the studio for a full magazine editorial photoshoot… Kids are kids and I knew we would have to work quickly & keep them interested & having fun during our shoot to be able to capture the images that we were looking for. I always strive to capture honest, beautiful & real portraits of the little ones that I photograph, and I am in love with the images we captured from our editorial shoot. The kids did such an amazing job! Aren’t they just adorable!! I think the rewards of cookies, candies & cake was a little bit of a motivator for them…what do you think? 😉
